The Shop's Story

Pueblo is the evolution of San Luis Obispo's favorite consignment boutique Change Of A Dress.  COAD's founder, Diana Gabriel wanted to create a space she could curate with her unique style and love of previously owned treasures. She also wanted to introduce handmade, fair trade, and workshops for the modern homesteader. Known for her attention to detail and impeccable taste, Diana has developed a loyal following of customers who have enjoyed shopping her boutiques for the last 16 years. Diana has found a niche market for the environmentally sustainable customer.  Not only do they find items far below cost, she helps customers participate in creating a much smaller carbon footprint. Using the community as a resource for bringing in the merchandise she sells, Pueblo will be providing customers a place to trade in or trade up for their previously owned items by either giving cash or store credit for new goods and inventory.

After 15 years in the industry, Diana has a keen ability to know what will sell.  Her customers have grown to trust her sense of style and taste for the unique. Items curated in the shop are always revolving and in pristine, impeccable condition.  Diana has a knack for merchandising these assorted items into cohesive collections and for reasonable prices. Customers always feel like they leave with a bargain and always look forward to what the shop has in store. 

At Pueblo, Diana Gabriel has partnered with her other two LOVES, Shawn Southern and Taj Gabriel.  Here they are recreating her beloved San Luis Obispo location in a popular new market trend, the industrial space. This will compliment the new direction of the shop and provide an outlet for shoppers to find gently used items ranging from clothing and household, in combination with sustainably sourced items for beauty and garden. 

 Diana and Shawn married in June of 2021. Originally partners in business and now partners in LOVE.  Welcome to The Southern's PUEBLO.
