The Shop's Story

Pueblo is the natural evolution of my first boutique, Change of a Dress, which I opened in my hometown of Los Osos, California back in 2008. After years in resale, I wanted to create something deeper—a space with meaning, beauty, and a little grit. That’s how Pueblo came to be.

Here, I curate secondhand finds, vintage pieces, handmade goods, and sustainable tools for modern living. Everything in the shop is handpicked—full of texture, story, and a kind of quiet charm you can’t fake. If it’s here, it’s because I believed in it. And my regulars know: it’s never the same store twice.

Pueblo reflects my roots as a Tewa Indian woman, an artist, and someone who lives with intention. It’s built around community, sustainability, and style that lasts. We keep things moving—customers bring in beautiful, gently used pieces and trade them in for credit or cash, keeping the energy flowing and the impact light.

These days, I run the shop with my husband, Shawn Southern, and my son, Taj Gabriel. We relocated to a sunny industrial space in Atascadero, which gave Pueblo space to breathe and evolve. It’s unexpected and welcoming—just like the shop itself.

Pueblo is more than a store—it’s an experience. Whether you’re into style, slow living, storytelling, or just want to find something that makes you feel something, this place has a way of pulling people in. There’s always something new on the racks, fresh on the shelves, or inspiring in the air.

Whether you come for the vintage, the vibe, or just to see what’s new, Pueblo has a way of staying with people. It’s a space that’s personal, ever-changing, and full of intention. We’d love to see you here.
